Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Algo Analytica(“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the Brahmastra mobile application and related services (the “App”). Brahmastra is a business tool used by political-campaign and research organizations to run field surveys and coordinate field teams. It is provided to authorized users (field agents and administrators) invited by an organization that uses Brahmastra.

Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to provide the App’s functionality:

• Account information — your name, email address and (for field agents) phone number, provided when your organization creates your account. Your password is stored in a protected, non-readable form.
• Location information— when you collect a survey response, the App records the location where it was collected. If you start a “field session”, the App records your device’s location, including in the background, so your organization can see the ground your team covered during that session. Location is collected only while you are signed in, and background collection runs only while a field session is active.
• Media and content you provide — photos, videos, voice recordings and documents you choose to capture or attach, the survey answers you submit, and any notes you add.
• Basic device and diagnostic information — limited technical details needed to operate the App reliably and securely.

The App is not intended for the general public and does not run advertising.

How we use information

• To provide the App and record and deliver the survey responses, media and notes you submit.
• To show your organization the field activity and session movement associated with your account.
• To operate, maintain, secure and support the service, and to prevent abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How information is shared

• With your organization.Brahmastra is operated on behalf of the organization that invited you. The administrators of that organization can view the survey responses, media, notes and field-session activity collected under your account. Your use of the App is also governed by that organization’s own policies.
• With service providers. We use trusted providers to host and operate the platform on our behalf. They may process information only to provide those services to us and are bound by appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
• For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of users, the public or our service.

Device permissions

The App requests only the permissions its features require. You can grant or revoke these in your device settings:

• Location (precise, and background): to geotag survey responses and to record field-session movement, including while the App is in the background during an active session.
• Camera: to capture photos and videos to attach to your work.
• Microphone: to record voice notes.
• Photos / media: to attach files you select.

If you deny a permission, the related feature will not work, but you can continue to use the rest of the App.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, or on a valid deletion request, it is deleted or de-identified.

Security

We use reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect information in transit and at rest, and restrict access to authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

• You can view and update your basic account details, or ask your organization’s administrator to do so.
• You can revoke device permissions (such as location, camera or microphone) at any time in your device settings.
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and deletion of your account — see Data & Account Deletion.

Children

Brahmastra is a workplace tool for authorized adult users and is not directed to, or intended for use by, children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

International use

The App is operated for use in India. If you access it from elsewhere, you consent to processing of your information as described in this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate we will provide additional notice.
